HR 800 Express Appeals Act

Many veterans and retirees have experienced long delays with appeals on their VA claim decision. This bill will allow members to participate in a voluntary express process. HR 800 has been introduced Congressman Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, to give veterans an alternative to the standard appeals process.

As of January 2015, more than a quarter million veterans are awaiting a decision on their VA disability rating. Like most of us, AFSA also feels this is an unacceptable situation that needs to be addressed as quickly as possible. Please support this legislation by using AFSA's Voter Voice application and send your Congressman a letter to let them know that providing a responsive appeal process is important for today's veterans.
